How to tame a stray cat?

The kittens raised in many families are picked up stray cats. They are relatively timid and have a bad temper because they are afraid. If it is a kitten, it is better to train a little bit. After following a woman for a long time, the character will naturally change a little. But it’s more difficult for older cats.

First, tame cats who are afraid of humans. Gaining trust is the key, and don’t try to chase and block cats who are afraid of people, or forcefully hug cats. This will not only make the cat bite and scratch you, but also make it even less likely to win the other person’s trust. If you see a cat you want to adopt outdoors, you can learn to meow from it. This looks silly, but it sends a friendly signal to the other party. You can also sit down or squat down, which will give the same signal.

When you see a cat, don’t walk straight towards the cat. If you approach the cat like this, the other party will take it as a sign of hostility. Let your cat decide how far away it is from you. Over time, it will get closer and closer to you. Once the cat is used to getting food from you, you will be able to meet more often. You can put down the food and walk further away to give the cat space. If the cat trusts you, it will eat in front of you. The ideal time to try petting your cat for the first time is when he is eating. Remember to move very slowly. And if it suddenly stops eating, or backs up, remove your hand and try again another day.

Finally find a box, leave the door open, and feed the cat inside. Put the bowl with the food there and walk away on its own so that over time it will get used to eating with you and won’t be afraid of the box. After a long time, you can take the cat home.
