Can you grab the rabbit by the ears and pick it up?

I’m sure many parents have seen rabbits being picked up by the ears, and many parents may often catch rabbits themselves, because rabbits have long ears, very convenient to pick up by the ears, but is this really the right thing to do? Will there be any damage to the rabbit?

It is absolutely not possible to grab a rabbit’s ear and pick it up because the rabbit’s ear is full of nerves and blood vessels and brittle bones, which is a very fragile area. If you grab the rabbit’s ears and lift it up, the rabbit’s ears will easily break. If you want to move a small rabbit to another place, you can reach under the rabbit’s body and cross your hands and hold the rabbit with your palms on both sides to lift the rabbit up and move it to another place. If you want to move a large rabbit to another place, you can use one hand to hold the rabbit under the armpit of the front paws, and the other hand to drag the buttocks and make the rabbit’s back up against your chest.

The younger the rabbit, the more dangerous it is to bathe. Since rabbits are inherently intolerant of bathing, coupled with the poor resistance of young rabbits, bathing can easily lead to illness and even direct death. Therefore, rabbits should never be bathed until they are 4 months old. Besides, rabbits are extremely capable of self-cleaning. Rabbits will slowly clean their fur very well and their bodies will smell fresh. As long as the rabbits are raised correctly, they do not need to take a bath for the rest of their lives, and there will not be any smell on their bodies. The smell on the rabbits all comes from the poor feeding environment.

So when parents are raising rabbits, no matter what breed of rabbit, they should give the rabbit a very good raising environment so that the rabbit is both clean and odorless, and also to avoid the risk that the rabbit will get sick.
